|thank you, Cait and Sky!|
I was going to do this about Ja-Il, the Eldest, leader of Amon's Five, but his answers were just...c'mon, Ja-Il. (What is something they've always secretly dreamed of doing, but thought impossible? "I never thought anything was impossible." Is there something he is impractically afraid of? "I am never afraid, let alone impractically so." [that I know to be flat-out untrue, so I gave up on him then.])
So instead I'm doing it on Petra, the youngest of the Five. Created to kill, trained since birth as tactician and warrior, with skill far beyond his years in reading people and situations, so perceptive that the rest of the Five often ask his advice, his face is extraordinarily deceptive.
1) What’s their favourite food? (Bonus: favourite flavour of chocolate!)
As one of the Five, he can eat whatever he wishes, even if supplies are lacking for everyone else. Whenever is a little more difficult, though, as one never knows when the rebels will do something stupid like break into a health facility and they will all be called out to go after them. So pickiness is not an option. (He will eat anything, including protein bars, which they all despise.)
Chocolate in liquid form is a thing, though there's not exactly chocolate bars laying around. (People in charge are too busy playing with genetic engineering to think too much about culinary arts. If the Five ever get a day off, they'd probably invent chocolate bars just as an alternative to protein bars.)
Actually, given that everything is grown indoors under the equivalent of grow lights...he ate an apple once he found growing outside, despite the rest of the Five telling him he was going to die, and it was the best thing he's ever tasted.
2) What do they absolutely hate?
I do not know if absolute hate is in his nature. The pure rage and black hatred of Dante seemed too much to their creator, and he was more careful by the time he reached Petra...So the youngest does his duty as he must, with a passionless brilliance that terrifies those at his mercy.
3) What do they enjoy learning about?
I think for a while he most loved flying--the others revel in flight, and it was always the one part of training they all actually enjoyed. His few happy memories of what little childhood he had involve learning to fly.
Now it's something else, but to say what would entirely spoil the story, so sorry... :P
4) Who is the most influential person in their life?
Kang-Dae. Directly followed by Ja-Il. Though honestly, Hae-Jin was probably the one to change the course of his life most. But the other two had a far more continous and direct influence, while Hae-Jin's changing of his life was almost accidental.
5) What is their childhood fear?
Losing the others. Being separated from them as punishment, or failing them when they need him.
6) What is something they have always secretly dreamed of doing, but thought impossible?
...pretty much anything normal. He does not see normal as an option, but that doesn't mean he hasn't seen it and wished it were possible.
7) What is something he is impractically afraid of?
I think more than something to be impractically afraid of, he has a deep-seated fear that he is unworthy. As the youngest, as one who is absolutely terrified of their creator and lord, and one who has failed to remedy the disconnect between his obedience to that lord and what something tells him he should be doing (he has never heard of a conscience, and given that the others seem not to be bothered by one, he has mostly successfully ignored his own), he struggles with seeing himself equal to the others.
8) Are they a night owl or morning person?
He would never dream of saying it to anyone, but early morning practices and middle of the night emergencies have always left him internally whimpering. He hates getting out of bed in the morning, not that anyone would ever be able to guess it.
9) Do they say everything that pops into their head, or leave a lot unsaid?
He leaves a lot unsaid. If anyone knows or can guess most of what pops into his head, it is Kang-Dae; with the others he has always been more reserved, even though they frequently ask for his opinion, which he then gives.
10) What are their nervous habits?
I had to think about that one. But if he is extremely nervous and caught up in something, he will whisper/talk out loud and be almost unaware he is even doing it. Which is strange, given that his coping strategy beneath Amon's watchful eye is to fold into himself perfectly silent and still, so as to avoid as much attention as possible.
